The Vulnerable Children Society

Hope for Children in Ethiopia

New Life Girls rescues teen girls from forced prostitution. This year-long program focuses on holistic care. The girls are given the choice of career training in hairdressing, food preparation or sewing. In addition to skills development, the girls are given life skills training, mentorship, counselling, and a chance at a new life.

The Vulnerable Children Society provided funding support to the New Life Girls program from 2013 to 2022. Although we no longer have a formal funding agreement in place for this program, we continue to gratefully accept donations on its behalf, and forward all donations received to Hope for Children in Ethiopia.

New Life Girls is an initiative of Hope for Children in Ethiopia, which was recognized by the Ethiopian government as an official non-profit organization in 2001. Since then, it has grown from helping street children to rescuing young people from forced labor, sex slavery or homelessness.

How you can help:

Your donation to the New Life Girls program will help rescue teenage girls from prostitution. Over a period of one year, the program provides them with a safe place to live, job training, personal hygiene education, and counselling. When possible, it reunites them with their families.
